1. Who we are

Anodos is run by [data controller]. We are the data controller for the information in this policy. This means we decide how it is used, and we are responsible for keeping it safe.

If you have a question about your information, email [contact email].

2. What we collect

We collect as little as we can. What we keep depends on whether you use Anodos as a guest or with an account.

If you use Anodos as a guest

  • Your answers, scores and progress, kept on your device
  • The course and goal you choose

If you create an account

  • Your email address, so you can sign in and reset your password
  • Your answers, scores and mastery for each topic, so your progress follows you to a new device
  • The days you practised, so we can show your streak

What we never ask for

We don’t ask for your date of birth, your school, where you live, photos or your contacts.

3. How we use it

We use your information only to run Anodos for you:

  • to choose which question to show you next
  • to show your progress, streak and mastery
  • to keep your account secure
  • to reply if you email us

We don’t use your information for advertising. We don’t make automated decisions about you that have legal or similarly important effects.

4. Who can see it

Your progress is private to you. Other pupils can’t see it, and there are no leaderboards.

We use a small number of service providers to host Anodos and to send account emails. They can only use your information to provide that service to us. They are listed in [list of processors].

We never sell your information.

5. How long we keep it

We keep your information while your account is open. If you don’t sign in for [retention period], we delete your account and everything linked to it.

If you delete your account, we remove your information within [n] days. Copies in our backups are deleted within [n] days after that.

6. Your rights

You have the right to:

  • see the information we hold about you
  • ask us to correct it
  • ask us to delete it
  • ask us to stop using it in certain ways
  • take a copy of it to use somewhere else

To use any of these rights, email [contact email]. A parent, carer or teacher can ask for you. We will reply within one month.

If you’re unhappy with how we have used your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

7. This website

This website doesn’t use cookies, analytics or tracking, and it doesn’t load fonts, images or scripts from other companies.

Our web host keeps basic server logs, such as which page was asked for and when, for [log retention period]. We use them only to keep the site working and secure.

8. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. If the change is important, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect.
